Here's my latest project, finished! I've never made a hand puppet before but always wanted my own Yoda, so I got this crazy idea to try making one. I went with more of the Clone Wars design because I wanted him cartoony and more Muppet like rather than realistic.
I designed all the patterns and did all the sewing myself (with my Wife's sewing machine). He's made of foam, fleece, felt and flannel with resin for the eyes and nails. The cane is made of wood and Apoxy putty. He also has wire and magnets in his hands to help him hold things. Rods can be attached to both his arms for movement but his hands are a little heavy so they flop around. Unfortunately the eyes don't close (I just put scrap pieces of fleece over his eyes) I'm not that advanced yet but maybe somewhere down the road I'll give them a shot.
